Adriana Carpenter Joins Emburse as Chief Financial Officer
LOS ANGELES AND PORTLAND, MAINE — Nov. 18, 2021: Emburse, a global leader in spend management solutions, has announced that it has appointed Adriana Carpenter as chief financial officer (CFO).
Carpenter joins Emburse from Ping Identity, a subscription-based security company, where she was SVP of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. During her eight-year tenure, Ping Identity underwent a successful IPO, along with continued revenue and share price growth.
Carpenter will provide expert financial leadership in the next phase of Emburse’s growth, as it challenges legacy vendors and capitalizes on the demand for modern spend management solutions. In the past year, Emburse has achieved double-digit organic growth, expanded to more than 16,000 customers, made several acquisitions and introduced new analytics, audit and payments products. The company now processes more than $60 billion per year in employee expenses and invoices on its platform.
“Forward-thinking organizations are investing heavily in intelligent automation to improve cash flow, reduce costs and humanize the experience for finance teams and employees alike, said Adriana Carpenter, CFO of Emburse. “Joining a company at the center of this transformation like Emburse gives me the opportunity to help our customers revolutionize their approach to finance.”
“Adriana is the ideal leader to spearhead our finance operations in this next phase of growth. She brings deep expertise in fast-growth global organizations and a passion for our mission of modernizing spend management,” said Eric Friedrichsen, CEO of Emburse.
Before joining Ping, Carpenter was with TeleTech, where she served as Global Controller for five years, and before that she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Texas Instruments. She graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Accounting. Carpenter is also a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and Texas.
“Additionally, as part of our growth,” said Friedrichsen, “I want to thank Katherine Edenbach for the work she has done to date shaping Emburse’s finance and accounting functions. Her dedication to our team and Emburse adds strength and depth as we focus on humanizing work by automating manual tasks and saving users’ time.”
Edenbach will serve as Chief Accounting Officer and will focus on the company’s day-to-day activities leading global accounting operations, payroll, billing, reporting, compliance and cash management.
