Summary

Across eight categories, Emburse is spotlighting the incredible teams and individuals whose work delivers real value to their employers and improves their colleagues’ lives.

As the Chief Experience Officer at Emburse, my focus is on ensuring that the promises we make to our customers are the promises we keep. And one of our most important promises is to humanize work. To me, it means taking care of the people who do the work day in and day out. It’s staying focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for your business and doing so in a way that takes care of your people and your company.

That’s why we created the Emburse Champion Awards. Across eight categories, we wanted to spotlight the incredible teams and individuals whose work delivers real value to their employers and improves their colleagues’ lives. Though this was our first year launching the awards, we received more than 80 nominations. Our team was blown away by the great results so many organizations achieved through spend optimization, and it was tough to determine the winners and honorable mentions.

In each story, it was easy to see how finance teams transformed the workplace, optimized spend, and eliminated the risk and uncertainty, and manual processes that no one really wants to deal with. What set our winners apart was how each humanized work to maximize impact at their organization. Our winners also realized outstanding results ranging from time savings, cost savings, improved employee experience, and other strategic wins – all by leveraging Emburse solutions.

I’d like to highlight a few of our winners here:

    • Expense Champion: The Beck Group implemented an expense system that essentially runs itself. The finance team now has greater insight into spend, reduced the amount of non-reimbursable expenses, and even leveraged analytics to negotiate better vendor rates.
    • Accounts Payable Champion: Dealer Tire elevated its invoice process, so AP associates could instead focus on finding cost-saving opportunities. This allowed them to ditch their outdated approval flow and gain up to 40 hours back per month along with increased controls and approvals.
    • Ultimate Advocate: The University of New Mexico eliminated tedious tasks for its finance team and instead enabled users with intuitive mobile tools. This effort saved 35,000 hours annually on expense report processing, reduced reimbursement time by 75%, and cut expense processing steps in half.

I hope you’ll take a moment to read through each of the categories to see the results each company achieved.

Congratulations to this year’s Emburse Champion Award winners and honorable mentions! And in case you missed it, here’s my personal message of congrats to this year’s winners.
