Michael believes that people are at the heart of every great company. As Chief Human Resources Officer at Emburse, he focuses on creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. He leads Emburse’s people strategy, ensuring that the company attracts top talent, fosters an inclusive workplace, and provides opportunities for professional development.
His work spans everything from talent acquisition and employee engagement to compensation, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion.
Before joining Emburse, Michael was Vice President of Human Resources Operations at insightsoftware, where he built and led a high-performing team that helped the company scale rapidly. Prior to that, he served as Chief of HR Operations at Huron, where he also led HR for the Healthcare and Legal practice groups. His experience spans the technology, healthcare, and aerospace industries, where he’s helped organizations navigate change, build strong teams, and create workplaces where people thrive.
Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois and his Master’s Degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Elmhurst University.
Throughout his career, Michael has been fortunate to work with leaders who challenged him to think differently, push boundaries, and always put people first. He carries that same mindset into his work today, with the goal of creating a workplace where every employee has the support and opportunities they need to do their best work. For him, success isn’t just about building strong teams—it’s about helping people grow, support each other, and achieve more together.
